Operate mobile speed camera vehicles in school zones, issuing Notices of Liability to speeding vehicles as part of the Mayor’s Vision Zero Program. Monitor vehicle and equipment operation, ensuring proper function of radar, camera, and flash. Investigate traffic control complaints and hazardous conditions in school areas, preparing reports as requested. Verify violations for the red-light camera program.

Engage in research, investigations, studies, or examinations related to engineering functions, prepare designs, plans, contract and working drawings, contract specifications, and estimates of quantities. Coordinate with design consultants, review and prepare AutoCAD designs, evaluate contract documents for modification of signalized intersections citywide, participate in meetings, and maintain records of drawings, plans, maps, surveys, and inspection data.
