Brooklyn Deputy Borough Engineer

• Lead and supervise a diverse team responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of traffic engineering measures within the Brooklyn Borough Engineering Office and Sign Shop.
• Assess the necessity of traffic control measures and devices to enhance the safety of all road users including pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists, as well as improving traffic flow and on-street curb usage and regulations.
• Manage comprehensive reports for traffic studies, inspections, and investigations, and tracks and schedules the maintenance and installation of traffic control devices.

Assistant Civil Engineer

Engage in research, investigations, studies, or examinations related to the engineering functions or activities of a department or agency. Prepare designs, plans, contract and working drawings, contract specifications, other technical specifications, and estimates of quantities. Coordinate with design consultants on all capital and outside agencies’ projects citywide. Review, comment, and prepare AutoCAD designs while evaluating contract documents for the modification of new and existing signalized intersections citywide.

GIS Data Specialist

The Parking Planning and Policy Unit seeks a data-oriented professional with ArcGIS familiarity to support curb management in NYC. The candidate will manage datasets, perform data analysis, and improve data-related processes, including research, data mining, database maintenance, and contributing to ongoing efforts. Duties include updating GIS datasets, performing operational and financial analyses, facilitating cross-division data processes, and building divisional tools. The candidate will cultivate professional development and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
