Kraken

• Lead and support legal work for corporate development activities at all stages of an M&A deal.
• Partner closely with the Head of M&A legal and senior leadership to drive execution of the firm’s global M&A strategy.
• Support Kraken's growing corporate governance needs as the company prepares for potential public company status.

• Serve as a U.S. GAAP and Kraken accounting policy subject matter expert
• Provide counsel to internal stakeholders including interpretation, application, and implementation of accounting and finance policies
• Assist with preparation and review of disclosures in Kraken’s financial statements

• Manage global bank account administration, including openings, closures, and maintenance across multiple banking partners.
• Oversee authorized signers and account access, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with internal controls.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global payment providers and banking partners to support Kraken’s operations and expansion.

• Review and approve business unit transactions before they are recorded in the general ledger.
• Reconcile G/L accounts and review G/L account reconciliations prepared by others.
• Take ownership of business unit general ledgers and understand regulatory requirements.

• Interface daily with internal systems and our proprietary exchange platform to assist with fiat and digital asset position reconciliations across our various banks and crypto wallets.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Independently manage and develop current reconciliation processes for greater efficiency and transparency, while analyzing data against business drivers to identify issues and trends.

• Be proficient with Kotlin and have experimented with other programming languages.
• Have a good knowledge of Jetpack Compose having used it in a professional environment.
• Be passionate about app architecture and can talk about the benefits and drawbacks of various patterns (MVC, MVVM, Redux).

• Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency across Product, Finance, Legal, KX, and Compliance.
• Maintain and refine key cross-functional operations.
• Define and track enterprise KPI targets, delivering analytic insights that inform Kraken’s strategy and shape priorities across Product and Commercial teams.

• Own the product roadmap and execution for your team and contribute to developing the product roadmap in line with our vision.
• Actively prioritize the backlog and contribute to pre planning, prioritization and user story mapping sessions
• Triage bugs, user feedback as well as internal feedback to prioritise work for engineering teams

• Support and grow the OTC Spot and derivatives desks: Help define strategy, execution, and long-term growth.
• Client engagement & business development: Build and maintain relationships with HNWIs, institutional clients, and counterparties.
• Risk management: Contribute to robust risk management practices across spot, options and other derivatives.

• Manage a regional team of Treasury Analysts.
• Execute high-value payments for treasury rebalancing and other operating needs.
• Optimize internal ledger and bank account balances across a global legal entity structure.

• Own the day-to-day and long-term operational mechanics of the corporate Tax Platform.
• Build SQL/Python automation that reduces manual effort, improves accuracy, and strengthens internal controls.
• Manage cross-functional execution for quarter-end and year-end tax processes.

• Oversee global Corporate accounting function and the overall month-end close process.
• Coach, mentor, oversee, and prioritize initiatives for a Corporate accounting team of 10+.
• Assist in internal controls and policies in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

• Define and lead Kraken’s AEO strategy across AI search, voice assistants, LLM integrations, and multimodal surfaces.
• Build and maintain Kraken’s entity and data ecosystem, ensuring accurate and structured information.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to implement AEO-first technical infrastructure.

• Accountable for the quality, speed, and effectiveness of design output.
• Lead design for growth experiences spanning first-time user journeys, identity verification, and retention.
• Ensure design decisions are grounded in user insight, usability testing, and data.

• Shape experiences millions rely on to trade, invest, stake, spend, and grow their wealth.
• Lead a team of 10 designers, work closely with PMs and engineers, and set the vision that drive clarity, speed, and quality across the Consumer portfolio.
• Define and communicate the design vision and own the long-term UX strategy for Consumer and bring teams along with clear storytelling and crisp direction.

Assist in preparing internal and external financial statements and reports. Assist with compliance of SEC filings. Develop and maintain SOX compliance over financial reporting and disclosures.

Support the Client Experience organization by measuring and analyzing client sentiment across support and digital channels. Own client experience measurement programs end to end, including NPS and other surveys, from analysis through insight generation to support data-informed decision-making. Build clear, compelling insights and narratives by synthesizing complex datasets into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
