As a Software Engineer at Mechanical Orchard, you will work as part of small, cross functional XP teams building production applications, pair program, apply and evolve XP engineering practices, operate and support production applications, help onboard developers, lead technical discovery efforts, learn about emerging technologies and agile practices, and foster the growth of the organization through mentorship.
Work within a small XP team to build infrastructure as code for our product teams. Pair program, collaborate with product managers and designers, and lead technical discovery efforts. Apply XP practices, adapt them for AI, and support production applications in an agile DevSecOps model. Mentor team members and participate in an on-call rotation.
You’ll work closely with our engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), improve secrets management, implement security automation, and help scale our security posture as we pursue SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP compliance.
