The Athletic is looking for a video producer to join our growing video team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for one of the fastest-growing brands in sports, an innate love of storytelling, and the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
This role will be primarily focused on The Athleticโs football coverage, with a day-to-day purview based on working with game footage. Producers in this role will develop and create original video in conjunction with The Athleticโs newsroom with a prime directive of making football fans smarter. Xโs and Oโs breakdowns, game previews and recaps, and video essays will all be part of the expected output for this position.
The ideal candidate will be particularly well-versed in social video; You should know what works on different platforms, who is doing well in the space, and come to work armed with creative ideas. This role will require regular video editing, and candidates must have strong skills editing in Adobe Premiere and familiarity with Adobe After Effects.
This role is 100% remote for candidates currently residing in the United States or Canada.
