Technical Leadership:
- Define and maintain architectural standards for the enterprise data platform, including data modeling, pipeline design, and observability.
- Lead the Technical Design Document process and conduct design reviews across teams.
- Guide the evolution of the core data platform stack including Redshift, Airflow, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
Engineering Standards:
- Establish and promote engineering standards related to code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and release management.
- Identify and address technical debt, scalability concerns, and reliability improvements.
- Partner with engineering managers on technical planning and solution design.
Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Serve as a technical point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders on platform capabilities and data architecture.
- Mentor and coach engineers on architecture, engineering best practices, and technical leadership.
- Support evaluation and adoption of new tools and frameworks for data engineering and governance.
