Job Description
Cable System Design and Engineering: Develop detailed designs for HV, MV and LV power cables, including conductor sizing, insulation thickness, and shield requirements based on project needs and industry standards. Design cable layouts and configurations to meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements, accounting for factors like ampacity, voltage drop, and cable aging. Perform engineering analyses, such as thermal, electrical, and mechanical evaluations, to ensure optimal cable performance and longevity.
Project Management and Coordination: Assist in the planning, budgeting, and resource allocation of cable projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and financial targets. Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and budget estimates to support project planning. Ensure all cable designs and projects meet relevant industry standards.
System Optimization and Performance Analysis: Conduct thermal, electrical, and mechanical modeling to identify and mitigate potential system issues. Monitor system performance metrics and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve overall system resilience and efficiency. Optimize cable systems by evaluating and implementing advanced engineering practices and innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
