Job Description

You will be responsible for the integration and commissioning of data center critical infrastructure telemetry within our Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software. You’ll provide post integration troubleshooting and support to data center operations teams for device alarms and errors.

Conduct commissioning activities for EPMS/BMS systems in data centers. Develop, maintain and verify standardized point and alarm lists by equipment type (i.e UPS, Generator, PDU, etc). Implement telemetry checkouts in commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for Level 4, and Level 5 systems. Review and evaluate design documents, submittals, and equipment specifications. Review, update and standardize single line drawings. Conduct site inspections, functional performance tests, and system verifications. Witness testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate sequence of operations. Work closely with project teams, including contractors, engineers, and data center operators, to maintain schedule. Diagnose and resolve system performance, reliability, and safety issues. Document results/findings and generate comprehensive commissioning reports for DCIM integrated equipment. Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations. Attend project meetings and offer technical expertise. Utilize your skillset with MQTT, Modbus, SNMP and BACnet communication protocols to communicate with critical infrastructure in our data centers. Integrate DCIM designated devices (generator, UPS, power meter, BMS, leak detection, environmental sensors, etc.) to DCIM software platform. Utilize a bulk device manager (BDM) to import the same points and alarms for several like devices. Assist in gathering DCIM-relevant device information such as communication protocols, registers, MIB files, etc. Ensure DCIM Systems are operating as designed to protect the data center, capture power usage, calculate available capacity, and provide meaningful, timely alarms, notifications, and reports to end users. Prepare and maintain DCIM technical documentation, including standard data point and alarm lists per device type. Validation and testing of device and alarm data. Coordination with cross functional partners to ensure DCIM data quality. Assign and configure device network settings. Analyze and resolve production issues independently and as a member of a cross functional team. Work quickly and closely with fellow DCIM, operations and IT team members.
