Senior Data Engineer (AI-Native) — Data Layer

The Role:

• Senior Data Engineer owning the Data Layer that powers all Proton products and the AI brain.
• An AI-native role where you guide agents, validate output, and make judgment calls they can't.

What You'll Do:

• Own ingestion, medallion modeling, and serving layers end to end.
• Build reliable pipelines from file, event, and API sources.
• Partner with backend, AI, and product engineers to define data contracts.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering with production ownership.
• Strong SQL, programming, and orchestration skills.
• Daily use of AI coding agents like Claude Code to ship work.
