Job Description
This position is responsible for leading the development and delivery of scientific training programs for the North America Medical Affairs team with a primary focus on diabetes and Abbott Products. The role ensures scientific and operational readiness through structured onboarding, continuous education, and performance coaching. It also supports field deployment during territory vacancies and contributes to cross-functional initiatives aligned with business priorities and compliance standards.
Design and implement onboarding and continuous education programs for North America Medical Affairs roles for Abbott Diabetes Care. Apply adult learning and evidence-based cognitive principles to create engaging, scientifically rigorous content. Develop and deliver blended learning experiences that can include self-paced modules, live workshops (virtual and in-person), podcasts, videos, and knowledge retention tools. Align onboarding and ongoing learning with medical strategy and product lifecycle phases. Develop and manage scientific content, including slide decks, FAQs, and educational resources tailored to healthcare provider audiences.
Conduct workshops, coaching sessions, and accompany colleagues during professional activities to enhance MSL effectiveness and field readiness. Provide field coverage during MSL vacancies to ensure continuity of scientific engagement. Collaborate with Medical Affairs leadership to align training and field activities with congress strategy and product lifecycle stages. Lead pre-conference briefings and post-conference reporting for major medical congresses.
