Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform terrestrial LiDAR scanning of storage tanks and pressure vessels, planning setups for full coverage and minimal data gaps.
  • Register and align multiple scans into a unified point cloud, performing noise filtering, data cleaning, and segmentation for validation.
  • Conduct deformation analysis including out-of-roundness and settlement trends, fitting geometric models and generating deviation maps for interpretation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in point cloud software such as Cyclone or Scene, with ability to fit geometric models and perform deviation analysis.
  • Working knowledge of pressure vessel and tank geometry, settlement behavior, and API 653/510 requirements for mechanical integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or related field, with minimum 8 years of experience using LiDAR scanning systems like Leica or FARO.
