Job Description

The AAMC Workforce Studies Research Fellow position is available to a graduate student in social science or a medical residency fulfilling their research requirements. The fellowship runs from September to June. The AAMC Workforce Studies fellow will function as a member of the Workforce Studies team at the AAMC while engaging in research projects that are aligned with the strategic goals and priorities of the AAMC and the Workforce Studies team. The Fellow will work on one or more research projects under the supervision of senior members of the AAMC Workforce Studies team and other AAMC staff as appropriate. The fellowship is expected to result in at least one published product, co-authored with members of the Workforce Studies team. The Fellow will work with Workforce Studies staff to select research and data analysis projects based on their background and interest. The Fellowโ€™s work may include data cleaning and management, literature review(s), statistical analysis and production of tables, graphs, and other visualizations, preparing slides for presentations, and writing and revising drafts of papers and other publications.
