Oil and Gas Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention

Policy Analysis, Development, and Assessment:

• Possess and gain familiarity with policy issues related to oil and gas methane and its mitigation.
• Conduct policy research and analysis to support the development of new or updated methane policies.
• Draft and present regulatory comments as part of the policy assessment process.

Technical Analysis, Writing, and Communication:

• Undertake and support analysis related to methane policies and their implementation requirements, and communicate results.
• Work with governments to use CATF’s Country Methane Abatement Tool (CoMAT) to estimate methane emissions and mitigation potential.
• Write and contribute to blog posts, technical and/or policy reports, white papers, fact sheets, and other forms of content.

Advocacy and Capacity Strengthening:

• Develop and execute strategies relating to education about relevant policy concepts and advocacy to achieve policy outcomes.
• Support the development and execution of capacity strengthening activities such as webinars, trainings, and workshops on fossil fuel methane.
• Develop and execute strategies relating to education about relevant policy concepts and advocacy to achieve policy outcomes.
