Regional Sub Editor

The Regional Sub Editor is responsible for editing copy to fit allocated space and fact-checking copy to ensure accuracy at all times. The editor will write correct and effective headlines, always adhering to Reach’s branding and house style rules, and handle changing stories quickly and accurately. You will also make sure all copy is legally sound and meets IPSO guidelines and Reach’s standards.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge, with a depth of experience in journalism, at a national or large regional title. They will have extensive knowledge of the intricacies of print news, with a proven track record of sub editing for print titles and the ability to rewrite accurate copy quickly and efficiently.
