Senior Backend Engineer

Solve complex technical problems to deliver robust, performant, scalable, and secure web services. As an early member of this team, you will co-create all the infrastructure and processes with the team. Our core product experiences are written in C# and the latest .NET Core stack. You should also be comfortable evaluating and exploring new technologies and runtimes.

As you join, you will work closely with our backend engineers to understand the existing product and the api services. You will dive deep into the architecture, database design and deployment systems. You will start to get familiar with the code base by building smaller features, participating in code reviews and involving in design discussions with other backend and frontend engineers.

As you grow, you will constantly work with Product & Design to understand the requirements and brainstorm on potential solutions with frontend engineers. You will be responsible for scoping, estimation and delivery of the features as expected. Data is essential at Belong. You will start working with the data team to understand the data and how you can continually update the data set with the data from your new features. As you establish, your responsibilities will be extended to provide required training for other teams on the features and detailed documentation. You will work with other teams to understand their pain points and propose solutions to Product & Design.

By the end of your first year, you will have good ownership of one of the core services. You will be responsible for the stability, performance and extension of the service with new capabilities by working with a product lead and other lead engineers.
