IT Security Engineer supports the design, build, and operation of Azure Active Directory, CrowdStrike, DLP, Security Systems, and Security Policies. Additional responsibilities may include running reports on possible trends, responding to tickets, assisting with Security audits, and taking control and responsibility for assigned security systems.
Essential duties and responsibilities include implementing systems and managing migrations, evaluating the security of internal and external systems and assisting in creating baselines and standards. The role monitors computer networks for security issues, investigates security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, and install security measures and operation software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
The Engineer documents security breaches and assess the damage they cause, work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, and fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. This role helps develop company-wide best practices for IT security, helps colleagues install security software and understand information security management, researches security enhancements and make recommendations to management, and stays up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
