Job Description

The part-time City Medical Specialist will perform histories and physicals, evaluate laboratory data, and determine if patients require tuberculosis treatment. Responsibilities include supervising and formulating treatment plans, including complex regimens for drug-resistant TB, and monitoring patient compliance. The specialist will participate in implementing patient care protocols for latent TB infection or active TB disease, oversee other medical staff, and work with case management. This involves systematic case reviews and contact investigations, consultation with community doctors, and participation in agency-wide emergency response activities. The position may be eligible for remote work up to two days per week under a pilot program.
