Staff Software/Data Engineer

About the Role:

• We are the data engineering team at IntusCare, owning the ELT platform that powers our DataHub product and internal analytics.
• As a Staff Software/Data Engineer, you own the technical direction of the platform, turning fuzzy, high-impact problems into strategies, designs, and shipped solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Help drive the technical direction of the ELT platform, balance strategic investments against pragmatic delivery, and provide architectural guidance across the codebase.
• Break down large, ambiguous initiatives into work that senior and lower-level engineers can execute, and partner with product and leadership to translate business goals into platform strategy.
• Set the bar for code quality, testing, observability, security, and HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI, and lead the response for the most complex incidents.

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of professional software or data engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership at increasing scope.
• Deep expertise in SQL and Python, and hands-on experience with Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Proven ability to see around corners, own a technical roadmap, mentor engineers, and operate across the stack with strong written and verbal communication.
