Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

The Senior Data Engineer position at Temporal Technologies will play a key role in transforming and analyzing data within the data platform. This position requires an experienced data engineering professional with deep expertise across the entire data stack, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. The work is centered around providing value to the business, prioritizing work that contributes to tangible, positive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will rigorously apply software and data engineering best practices to the ingestion, storage, modeling, and analysis of data. The data engineer will also shape Temporal’s data strategy, guiding stakeholders in how they consume and act on data. This is an opportunity to design and build out a world class data platform from the ground up and implementing best in breed technologies. Responsibilities include building data pipelines for ingestion of both event driven and batch driven workloads, hardening existing pipelines with data quality checks, modeling data for OLAP purposes, creating actionable dashboards and reports, and performing analyses. The candidate will take end to end project ownership by facilitating working sessions with engineers and business stakeholders to design and produce data solutions.
