Policy Analyst, Latin America and the Caribbean Fossil Fuel Methane

The role of the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Fossil Fuel Methane Policy Analyst (LAC Policy Analyst) is to support the development of policies and advocacy that promotes methane reduction across the fossil fuel sector in LAC in partnership with CATF’s Methane Pollution Prevention (MPP) team and other programs operating in the region. The LAC Policy Analyst will support efforts to engage with regulators in the region to develop and implement strong methane mitigation policies, including the development of technical analysis and reports to support such actions. The LAC Policy Analyst will also work closely with government stakeholders in the development of methane emission estimates and mitigation plans to support policy efforts. In addition, they will collaborate with allied NGO, industry, academia, and government-based stakeholders to advance methane mitigation. The LAC Policy Analyst will cultivate and nurture opportunities in Latin America through extensive networking with key stakeholders. Furthermore, the LAC Policy Analyst will support the planning and execution of outreach campaigns and capacity strengthening workshops.
