Senior Data Engineer

Proton is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to scale their Client Engineering team. This role involves customer-facing engineering, focused on transforming and integrating client data into Proton's platform at scale. Responsibilities include designing, building, and owning robust data pipelines that deliver real value to customers. The Senior Data Engineer will work directly with client IT teams to understand their needs and ensure high-quality implementations. They will maintain data pipelines using Aiflow, Python, pySpark, and SQL, ingest data from APIs and customer systems, and build reports using Looker. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in data engineering or backend roles with a focus on data and system integrations. Strong development skills with Python, Go Java or equivalent, SQL, data modeling, and API integration experience are required. Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset are essential.
