About the Role:
- Produce and independently edit video stories with The Athletic's reporters on weekend evenings.
- Work across highlights, social video, and logging footage into the archive system.
- 100% remote part-time contract through 12/31/2026.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with producers and editors to build engaging stories from reporters.
- Follow style guide and train reporters on phone filming best practices.
- Edit footage into compelling narratives.
Requirements:
- Experience editing news, vertical, and social video in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Genuine sports interest and journalism/newsroom background.
- Ability to work independently, in teams, and on nights/weekends.
