Job Description
CGS is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst I to focus on mobile device and cloud data preservation and collection. The role requires fluency in forensic technologies and a willingness to take on a primary role within the expanding forensics department. The position involves travel for on-site collections and in-office work at the forensics lab and data center.
The analyst will perform forensic data collection and basic analysis, coordinate with legal teams/client IT, maintain the forensic toolset, and work with project management on complex projects. They will also assist in developing procedures, manage chain of custody, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, and conduct quality checks on work products.
Qualifications include a degree in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering and 1+ years of experience in forensic lifecycle, scoping, evidence acquisition, and intermediate-level analysis. Experience with forensic tools like EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, and FTK Imager and knowledge of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption are required. The candidate should have strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
