Job Description
The Drayage Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new drayage business opportunities by networking with the Business Development reps across the various Arrive offices. This includes leading or participating on customer sales calls as the drayage subject matter expert and building strong relationships with Business Development directors and managers. This person will develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow drayage revenue and market share. They will assist with educating Business Development representatives and stay informed on drayage market trends, port conditions, rail developments, and capacity constraints. They will also develop customized drayage solutions, maintain and grow existing customer relationships, and prepare customer proposals. This role requires collaboration with the Drayage operations team to ensure smooth execution and high-service levels as well as maintaining accurate record of sales activities and customer information in the CRM. Industry event representation as needed.
