Job Description
We are looking for a talented Discrete Event Simulation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of automotive production. Using advanced simulation techniques, you will analyse and optimise manufacturing and logistics processes to drive efficiency, improve throughput, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Discrete Event Simulation models using Plant Simulation to optimize automotive production processes. Conduct bottleneck analysis and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Determine buffer size requirements and assess the impact of different model derivative mixes on production flow. Perform volume throughput increase studies and evaluate system "what-if" scenarios. Ensure process adherence to vehicle derivative sequencing and build-to-sequence rules. Optimize material flows and logistics, including: Onsite material movements (lineside deliveries, marketplace transfers). Material movements between sites to improve supply chain efficiency. AGV quantity estimation and identifying operational hotspots. Racking studies to maximize space and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data insights into clear recommendations.
