LIDAR Technician / Cartographer

Position Overview:

• Support NOAA's National Geodetic Survey in coastal mapping using LIDAR and photogrammetry.
• Work on topographic and bathymetric LIDAR projects for shoreline mapping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and edit point cloud data for proper classification.
• Compile shoreline shapefiles and perform quality control.
• Resolve discrepancies using historical charts and imagery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field.
• 4+ years experience with MicroStation, Terrasolid, and ArcGIS.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a public trust background check.
