Job Description
Avero is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop scalable data solutions that empower internal teams and drive customer-facing analytics. You'll collaborate with the Data Architect and other stakeholders to evolve our data models and infrastructure, focusing on advanced SQL, data transformation, and workflow orchestration. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with architectural influence.
You’ll write production-grade SQL and Python code, collaborate on data modeling and system design, and help ensure our data pipelines are robust, efficient, and maintainable. The position is 100% remote. As data capabilities expand, there may be opportunities to grow a team around this role, offering future leadership potential.
Responsibilities include designing and building reliable ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Airflow and ensuring data quality through testing and monitoring.
