Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance

Role Overview:

• The Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance leads programs that align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Handles cybersecurity and technology risk management, overseeing vulnerability management, third-party risk, and security governance.
• Provides hands-on leadership for team members and cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance GRC frameworks, policies, and controls to support operational effectiveness and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage regulatory requirements (FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA), and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor risk and compliance performance, develop metrics and dashboards, and translate technical insights for leadership.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and progressive experience in information security governance, risk management, or compliance.
• Experience leading teams, managing vulnerability programs, and conducting third-party risk assessments.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS, and other frameworks; familiarity with higher education regulatory landscape.

Work Environment:

• Full-time remote position with occasional onsite travel; must have home office setup and high-speed internet.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed; compensation range $150,000 - $159,390 USD annually.
