Job Description

This role involves producing, reviewing, proofreading, and delivering translations of various hospital documents, including medical record forms, patient education materials, and marketing materials, from English into Spanish, as assigned by the coordinator. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish, possess superior knowledge of medical vocabulary in both languages, and have training or certification in foreign language translation. Additionally, two years of experience in translating, proofreading, and editing medical materials from English to Spanish, along with a solid understanding of the American Translators Association (ATA) Code of Ethics and Professional Practice, are required. Computer skills, knowledge of word-processing programs like Microsoft Word, and experience with computer-assisted translation (CAT) programs such as SDL Trados are essential.
