Bioinformatics Analyst

About the Role:

• Translate complex microbiome and genomics data into key decisions for Oath's science.
• Work closely with the bioinformatics team and a broad network of scientific collaborators.
• Independently develop manuscript-quality reports, figures, and executive summaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform statistical analyses including compositional data analysis, two-sample tests, and association tests.
• Generate visualizations (scatter, bar, box, heatmap plots) and apply unsupervised learning methods.
• Build and evaluate pangenomes, compare proteins, and support comparative genomics.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computational Biology or related field with expertise in genome sequencing and metagenomics.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash, with experience using Conda and Nextflow.
• Strong communicator able to deliver complex results to diverse audiences.
