Responsibilities:
- Teach online ELA classes focusing on Reading & Speaking and Reading & Writing skills for elementary students.
- Prepare and deliver lessons using Think Academy's curriculum and actively manage a virtual classroom of up to ~10 students.
- Grade student work, provide timely feedback, track progress, and participate in teacher training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Native-level English speaker with excellent command of American English and a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education or ELA.
- U.S. public/private/charter school ELA teaching experience for 1st–4th grade is preferred, with strong understanding of literacy development.
- Comfortable with online teaching technology, enthusiastic, student-centered, and able to inspire young learners in a virtual setting.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Base pay starts from $35 USD per teaching hour, with additional non-teaching fees of $16–20/hour for preparation and after-class services.
- Eligible for performance-based retention bonuses and additional compensation for lesson planning and training activities.
- Part-time schedule of 20–30 hours per week, with flexible afternoon/evening and weekend classes in U.S. time zones.
