Role and Impact:
- Provide comprehensive regional support for Banfield Pet Hospitals, VCA hospitals, and other MVH banners, covering all aspects of facilities management.
- Manage hospital facility repairs, planned maintenance, contracted services, and minor upgrade projects using tracking software like ServiceNow.
- Determine the best approach for each repair, manage budgets up to $1M, and interpret lease language for landlord/tenant responsibilities.
Project and Vendor Coordination:
- Interview, evaluate, negotiate, and procure contractors for repairs and national preventive maintenance services.
- Source and procure building materials for repairs, including millwork, plumbing, electrical, and flooring.
- Coordinate and execute large-scale capital facility repair projects totaling $250k+ annually, such as sewer line replacements and roof system upgrades.
Collaboration and Expertise:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Lease Administration, Construction, and Operations to maintain hospital operations.
- Act as a subject matter expert in facility repairs, preventive maintenance, lease responsibilities, and construction contracts.
- Communicate regularly with Field Leadership and associates regarding repair status and project completions, with occasional travel for market tours.
Qualifications and Environment:
- Requires 5 years of professional experience with knowledge of construction terms and ability to read blueprints.
- Must have troubleshooting ability in electrical, plumbing, and general building construction.
- Work environment is computer-based, moderate noise, and may involve presence of pets.
