Sales Tax Analyst

The Sales Tax Analyst, also known internally as the New Client Onboarding Specialist, plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive initial experience for TaxValet's clients. This multifaceted teammate will be responsible for problem-solving, providing creative solutions, and supporting clients with complex sales tax issues. The role involves diving into detailed spreadsheets to analyze client data, conducting research on sales tax nexus, and setting up clients' tax systems to meet high standards. Key responsibilities include managing onboarding projects, setting up and testing tax collection settings on sales platforms, performing sales tax nexus reviews, contributing to onboarding process improvement, and making sense of transaction data using Excel. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills and technologies. The role requires 1-2 years of experience in project management, accounting, sales tax, and/or research.
