Junior Data Engineer, Data Platform Team

At Docplanner, data is at the core of everything we do to make the healthcare experience more humane. Our Data Platform Team is the backbone for all things data, serving analysts, engineers, and product teams with robust infrastructure, high-quality data pipelines, and modern tooling. We’re looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our team and support our growing platform operations. This role is an ideal entry point for someone who already knows the basics (Python, SQL, orchestration tools) and is eager to go deep into the world of data engineering, infrastructure management, automations and analytics. You’ll become a first responder for data platform issues by monitoring workflows, investigating failures, applying hotfixes, and learning how our systems work under the hood. It’s a hands-on role with high exposure to real-world problems. You’ll be mentored by our experienced data engineers and empowered to build your own tooling, write documentation and runbooks, and progressively automate away repetitive tasks. This is a learning-focused engineering role with direct access to the entire stack and an intentional path toward becoming a full-fledged Data Engineer. You'll also contribute and lead automation initiatives by continuously expanding your understanding of orchestration, data ingestion, data pipelines, and tooling across the platform, and help prepare the platform for smarter automation and AI-driven incident handling.
