Security Engineer

The Role:

• You will own security end-to-end across infrastructure, products, and enterprise deployments for an open-source AI company.
• This is a hands-on-keyboard role focused on hardening multi-cloud infrastructure and building a security foundation for regulated customers.

Responsibilities:

• Own production security across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Vercel, including multi-tenant SaaS, dedicated VPC, self-hosted Kubernetes, and air-gapped environments.
• Secure the Hermes Agent platform with sandboxing, kernel-level isolation, identity controls, and trace integrity.
• Lead SOC 2 technical controls, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of security engineering experience with deep hands-on expertise in infrastructure and multi-cloud security.
• Strong Kubernetes, identity (SSO, SAML, SCIM), and IAM fundamentals.
• Experience implementing compliance-driven programs like SOC 2 or ISO 27001 without checkbox exercises.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience securing AI, machine learning, or open-source systems, and supporting regulated customers.
• Familiarity with kernel-level sandboxing, network isolation, and agent security.
