Scientific Director in R&D - Cell and Gene Therapy Analytical Development (m|f|d)

As a member of Miltenyi Biotec's R&D department, you will lead multiple groups focused on analytical development to support Miltenyi's CAR-T cell therapy pipeline from early clinical development to commercialisation. These developments include novel reagents, assays and workflow solutions essential for quality control in cellular medicine, immune profiling and patient monitoring, and exploratory research. The innovative proprietary technologies developed in areas such as flow cytometry, imaging, cell cultivation and assay automation are utilised. You will provide strategic direction and leadership for CGT's analytical development in line with the company's overall goals and objectives. You will oversee the development and implementation of novel analytical methods and technologies to ensure robust quality control and patient monitoring. Further responsibilities include managing and prioritising the project portfolio to ensure timely and successful completion of key milestones and objectives. You will lead and mentor a team of scientists and research staff, fostering an innovative and collaborative working environment. You will work closely with other R&D departments as well as colleagues from Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control to ensure seamless integration of analytical methods into the development pipeline.
