Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply correct coding, regulatory and compliance guidelines, APCs, ICD10, CPT, E&M, procedure codes and modifiers.
  • Maintain 95% coding accuracy while meeting department's productivity standards.
  • Participate in staff discussions and provides valuable input to the team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in outpatient facility abstracting coding and facility coding modifiers.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, prior oncology or transplant coding, E & M, surgical and infusion coding experience.
