Freelance Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a 12-month freelance engagement.
• You will join a cross-functional Agile team within the banking domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and improve data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing across AWS cloud and on-premises Oracle DB environments.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and SAP Data Services.
• Support modernization and migration of legacy data systems toward cloud-native architecture.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Proven experience with SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms including Oracle DB, SAP IQ, and SAP Data Services.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Medallion architecture, and real-time integration patterns.

Additional Information:

• The role includes participation in EOD ROTA until 23:00-24:00 for incident resolution.
• The hiring process may use AI tools to assist in reviewing applications, with final decisions made by humans.
