This role oversees the full data lifecycle from requirements capture and database design to the creation and optimization of complex data pipelines. The Journey GIS Data Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the National Park Service’s mission by developing, maintaining, and optimizing advanced geospatial data systems. This position leverages expertise in relational database management, geospatial data modeling, and enterprise geodatabase operations to ensure high-quality, secure, and accessible data. Requires strong technical skills, a commitment to data integrity, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Plays a critical role in overseeing the overall performance and delivery of contract work. This position works closely with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to plan, coordinate, and guide project activities using agile project management approaches. The manager is responsible for aligning technical efforts with mission objectives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope, and continuously improving processes and outcomes.

Supports the National Park Service (NPS) by enhancing enterprise data governance practices. This role plays a key part in implementing data management strategies, policies, and tools to improve data quality, accessibility, and compliance. The analyst will assist in establishing data inventories, quality standards, and governance frameworks to enable informed decision-making.
