Engage in research, investigations, studies, or examinations related to engineering functions, prepare designs, plans, contract and working drawings, contract specifications, and estimates of quantities. Coordinate with design consultants, review and prepare AutoCAD designs, evaluate contract documents for modification of signalized intersections citywide, participate in meetings, and maintain records of drawings, plans, maps, surveys, and inspection data.

The role includes preparing highway designs to relevant local standards and carrying out feasibility and optioneering designs. The candidate will develop design drawings, inputs into reports, design reports, technical and materials specifications, and resolve simple design problems using both manual and computer methods with minimal supervision.

Lead technical engineering, quality assurance/control, and municipal engineering project activities. Independently complete projects focused on the design of roadways, underground utilities, site grading and drainage, and facilities. Develop and maintain client relationships. Deliver projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitments.
