Provides structural design elements for federal engineering projects. Performs basic structural plan production and receives instructions for necessary tasks. Develops and apply knowledge and experience working within structural design and modeling software.

Develop and maintain detailed Building Information Models for projects. Prepare and update 3D models, drawings, and layouts using BIM software. Assist in clash detection, constructability reviews, drawing standardization, and quality assurance checks.

Use CAD/BIM tools to support cable routing, equipment layouts, and communications system design. Assist with telecom, security, and A/V system layouts, including MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms and horizontal cabling design. Contribute to project design tasks under the guidance of senior team members.

Serve as a project manager on some projects and lead design engineer on others. Prepare planning and design documents, process design calculations, and maintain standards. Coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and other consultants.
Assist with assembling project teams and assigning responsibilities. Help develop scopes, schedules, and budgets; monitor costs and progress. Organize project meetings and maintain documentation.
