Provide leadership within the Geosyntec dams, levees, and hydraulic structures practice, serve as a mentor for technical staff, and participate in business development activities. Provide technical leadership, direction, and oversight for projects, including potential failure modes analysis and Level 2 risk assessment. Develop technical reports and risk management cases that assess dam safety risk, mitigation options, and regulatory compliance.

Manage the in-house civil design team and develop comprehensive civil designs for utility-scale solar projects, including site layouts, grading plans, earthwork analysis, erosion control, stormwater management systems, access roads, and foundation designs, ensuring designs adhere to all relevant regulations and codes.

This individual contributor role provides civil engineering direction and oversight for data center designs and engages with internal & external stakeholders, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), external Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consultants and general contractors to ensure that the data center civil engineering design meets applicable code and industry requirements.

The Engineer, Development Engineering will work independently within a team to conduct early-stage due diligence, power plant design, optimization & analytics, and manage internal/external stakeholder expectations across multiple renewable projects. The team plays a pivotal role in managing site design, from early-stage site due diligence to Issued for Construction design.

Visually analyze and label complex blueprint-style documentation and models of customer sites. Perform complex analysis of customer projects by understanding the results of engineering analytics output, comparing those analytics with construction industry standards, and helping to improve processes. Analyze project schedules, generate customer reports, and maintain file organization. Ongoing communication is required using Slack and Jira.

This dual-role position combines responsibilities in Real Estate and Construction, managing all phases of construction development on assigned projects, and aiding in all aspects of real estate development and market analysis for corporate and franchise clubs - and has no direct reports.
