As a Staff Engineer in Machine Learning Infrastructure, you'll drive the technical vision and development of ML infrastructure to enable end-to-end ML model development and delivery at Marqeta. You will collaborate with Machine Learning Science, Product, and Engineering teams to refine ML development journeys and improve our target state ML architecture.

As the Senior Counsel, Commercial, you will provide legal and business advice on Marqeta’s customer, bank and network partner, and vendor contracts, improving Marqeta’s contracting processes. You'll work closely with attorneys and outside counsel, building strong relationships across the Company and with leadership on legal matters relating to Marqeta’s customers, partners and vendors.

Lead Marqeta's underwriting team and develop strategy to launch and scale successful credit programs. You will scale our credit underwriting organization and establish Marqeta as a disruptive force in the credit space. Mentor a world-class team of credit risk professionals and drive innovation. Represent Marqeta at the highest levels with customers and partners.

As a Counsel, Product & Regulatory at Marqeta, you will help drive high-profile cross-functional initiatives across the business involving a variety of complex legal and regulatory issues, relating to managing risk for financial and payments products.

This role is pivotal in enhancing Marqeta’s ability to detect and respond to threats. You will contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of a security detection engineering program, participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the program through strong technical contributions.

Responsible for creating and maintaining the processes and technologies used to secure our products and systems. Help build out and mature a product security team, including developing novel security tooling and solutions that enable secure FinTech products at scale. Educate, advise, and empower engineers in a growing and highly technical product engineering organization.

Serve as a key technical leader, driving complex incident response efforts, developing advanced detection capabilities, and mentoring junior team members. The role includes participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and spans both hands-on response and long-term program development. This position requires deep expertise in enterprise security tools, threat intelligence, and cloud technologies.

Lead the design, development, and execution of our 3D Secure (3DS), KYB/KYC, and Fraud platform initiatives. Play a pivotal role in building high-performance, real-time systems on AWS that support 500+ transactions per second, while embedding AI/ML models to proactively detect and prevent fraud across 3DS rails. Bridge across internal systems, third-party networks, and cross-functional stakeholders.
