This role is responsible for defining, developing and helping implement a Governance, Risk and Compliance framework for both Enterprise and Product verticals. We are looking for an experienced in-house product counsel to work closely with our advertising, marketing, product, engineering, and business development teams throughout the product development life cycle, with a focus on guiding responsible advertising practices. A key member of our stellar Product & Privacy Legal team, you will provide practical and business-oriented legal advice, ensuring alignment with Mozilla’s values of privacy, transparency, and privacy by design.
Serving as a strategic and pragmatic Privacy Counsel, you will advise on Mozilla’s product, business, and ecosystem needs. As well as drive risk-based privacy decision making across all levels of Mozilla. The privacy and legal teams coordinate closely with our colleagues in Public Policy, Engineering, Security, Trust & Safety, and Data Science on multidisciplinary issues.
Lead the development and execution of external media strategies that support Mozilla’s mission and amplify its presence across sectors. Work cross-functionally with teams, including Product, Brand, Legal, Policy, and Social/Content, to craft compelling, newsworthy narratives that resonate with both tech-savvy and general audiences. Lead media engagement and manage key reporter relationships. Prepare senior executives for public engagements.
