ProPublica is seeking an accomplished audio journalist to serve as senior producer for a new weekly podcast series based on our reporting. The senior producer will contribute to the creative development of the new show and help lead operational planning and partner with the host and executive producer to develop the tone and direction of the show, which will translate reporters’ work into audio.

ProPublica is seeking an accomplished audio producer for a new weekly podcast series based on their reporting. The producer will lead production on individual episodes of the show, which will translate reporters’ work into audio. You will support the host in crafting incisive interview strategies, shaping story arcs, pulling tape, writing scripts and tracking, and partner with reporters to gather tape and shape the audio versions of their stories.

Pitch, design and develop interactive stories and databases that hold the powerful accountable and have real-world impact. Wrangle data, including FOIAing for it, scraping it, cleaning it, analyzing it and preparing it for publication. Interview people, occasionally in the field, and examine data to find trends, patterns and outliers.
