The editor will commission and edit feature stories, generate ideas for staff writers and freelancers, and support fellow editors while maintaining a tight calendar. The role involves active participation in the newsroom, contributing to both feature and daily work.
Evaluate and refine AI-generated summaries for locations on a maps product. The summaries are automatically generated for places such as restaurants, parks, and landmarks and require localization and adjustments to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance, and naturalness. Leverage your expertise in writing structure, content, tone, and perspective to ensure summaries are consistent, coherent, and aligned with the required guidelines. Conduct research to verify information and refine content for clarity and readability.
You will ensure complex scientific and technical information is explained with perfect accuracy and communicated in clear, high-quality written English. Your efforts will directly support the development and refinement of a high-tech knowledge system. Generate original, highly accurate, and well-structured written content related to complex STEM topics. Meticulously review and edit existing technical content for subject-matter accuracy, clarity, and grammatical perfection.
This is an early career journalist role for real world experience in the day-to-day world of magazine publishing. The Fellow will gain an overview in all aspects of acquiring content for and producing a national environmental and news magazine, including writing and reporting stories both for print and online, fact-checking and proofreading articles prior to publication, and developing their own new story ideas and leads.
