Job Description
This role is for a Research Manager of the CART How Far is Too Far (HFITF) Project - a large, international four year CIHR grant funded project coordinating multi-site activities and a range of partner organizations. The incumbent will play a key role in daily management of a large multisite national abortion access research project, while assisting the team to support the range of team activities. The position will work on-site within the CART research laboratory in the Womenβs Health Research Institute within BC Womenβs Hospital and Health Centre.
The incumbent will report directly to Professor Wendy Norman, the lead investigator on the CART HFITF Project and co-lead of CART, in the Department of Family Practice. The Research Manager is responsible for supervision of the research project staff, trainees, and volunteers. Errors made, or inappropriate judgement exercised, may result in budget overages, and damage to the reputation of the team and the credibility of the investigators.
