Data Engineer

About the Role:

• The Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains reliable data pipelines and platforms for ICA, a trusted advisor to federal agencies.
• Working with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, you will transform structured and unstructured data into dependable datasets.
• The role emphasizes Python, SQL, data modeling, and workflow orchestration in an AWS environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and orchestrate data pipelines, data modeling, and architecture.
• Integrate data from various sources and ensure infrastructure reliability.
• Collaborate across disciplines and document processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, including ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, plus hands-on experience with orchestration platforms like Dagster, Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, data quality testing, CI/CD, and Git.
