Lead Platform Engineer

Technical Delivery and Oversight:

• Own a defined technical scope by architecting platform solutions, building CI/CD pipelines, and writing infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native environments and observability systems while integrating AI tooling into platform workflows and developer infrastructure.
• Make day-to-day architecture decisions, identify technical risks early, and demonstrate solutions through proofs of concept.

Team and People Leadership:

• Lead and organize a small team of engineers by breaking down tasks, pairing on problems, and conducting code reviews.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance for junior team members through one-on-one sessions and constructive feedback.
• Keep the team unblocked and accountable for the quality of the technical deliverables within the workstream.

Stakeholder Communication and Requirements:

• Serve as the technical point of contact for the scope, clearly representing work to client engineers and project stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly to changes and shift focus to meet customer needs while keeping account leaders informed of concerns and blockers.
• Requires 7+ years of hands-on platform engineering experience, authorization to work in the US or Canada, and 25-50% travel depending on client needs.
