Job Description
The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to all stages of data science pipelines, from data sourcing and cleaning to applying statistical methods. Responsibilities include auditing and improving existing data science products and pipelines, building new predictive models for voter outreach, and collaborating with engineers and analysts to deliver results. The role involves promoting tech team cultural values and encouraging learning. You'll also evaluate vendor-provided models, improve internal record linkage tooling, and increase fairness in models. The position focuses on near-term results for the 2026 election cycle and long-range development for the progressive ecosystem. Candidates should have experience in data science, coding skills in R or Python and SQL, and strong communication skills. Familiarity modern cloud data environments (GCP, BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, etc.) is a plus.
