Project Engineer II

Support engineering and quality control efforts for Pivot’s projects during construction and commissioning and provide technical assistance as needed for operational assets. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing construction drawings, PVsyst reports, and commissioning documents to ensure projects meet the requirements of Pivot’s Technical Specifications and industry best practices. This role will also coordinate with Independent and Owner’s Engineers to address technical questions and collaborate with internal project management to support project activities, especially as it relates to battery energy storage systems. Assist in the development of project quality control standards, processes, and tools used in the engineering, construction, and commissioning of battery energy storage systems. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical issues and ensure the timely execution of project activities, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Review and analyze engineering plan sets, equipment submittals, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory codes, and Pivot quality standards. Identify lessons learned and value engineering opportunities from construction projects. Coordinate with internal project management teams to support project diligence activities. Review and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI) with urgency and professionalism. Collaborate with Owner’s Engineers and Independent Engineers to maintain strong working relationships and address project-related challenges. Conduct on-site and remote inspections on active construction sites and operational assets to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality control standards. Assist Pivot’s Operations and Maintenance team in reviewing operational asset production data and troubleshooting issues, as needed.
